Farm Collage
I had a crafty weekend and completed two shadowbox collages. I got the frame at Michael's for $3.99!
This farm collage was so fun to make. A friend of mine at work asked me to create this for her parents as an Anniversary Gift.
I asked her to describe the farm and after going onto SVG Cuts the Grandpa's Organic Farm Collection had almost everything I needed (even a windmill). Mary - you must of done your research on that one. I also used the cow from Harvest Hill Farm. Puppy is from Doggie Pals I and it captured their dog Angel perfectly.
I tried something new for this collage - Cri-Kits Pens. I won these in a recent challenge on the SCAL Forum. I love these! I did the farm name and Established with the pens.
It draws where it would normally cut so I had to play around with the fonts a bit. I converted my fonts to outline in Illustrator and made them into a single line. It was so much fun.
Cri-Kits is having a challenge on their blog and I entered this. Click for the challenge details.
Guess what...I am on FB Now - Check out my page.
Plus I figured out how to add an email subscribe feature on my blog -----------------> Check it out on the right side of my blog.

Oh wow, that is awesome, Amy! I love it! I'm sure your friends parents will love it too - how special. The family name and date is great. I love the embossing and the details like the pitchfork and windmill. Haha, glad the windmill came in handy - I did do my research! :P ~Mary
ReplyDeleteOh, that is great! Love the colors that you used, and the subtle embossing on some cuts. I love the look of this collection, but I haven't had a chance to play with this yet... but it's really cute! The Cri-Kits worked really well here, too! What a great gift!
ReplyDeleteLove it! This collage will surely be the hit of the party!
ReplyDeletethis is very cool! I am sure they are going to love it. Hail to the Queen! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's so great I saw it on Craft Edge and had to come check out your work. I'll definitely be back. Nice work.
