Let’s Go For The Snow!

Hey everyone I have a layout to share with you today. If you are a fan of SVG Cuts you may have already seen this on their FB page or blog. It is a layout I created for an SVG Cuts DT Project. I incorporated two fabulous Winter collections from SVGCuts into my layout and used the gorgeous Bo Bunny Snowfall papers.

Scrapbooks Etc just released the top 2012 trends for scrapbooking on their FB page and I incorporated a few techniques in the layout:

Use inks, mists and sprays to get “artsy”

Tie It Up by using twine on your layout.

Please stop by the SVG Cuts Blog to see more project details! Have a great weekend.

Mother’s Day Cards

Have you seen the latest collection from SVG Cuts?
It is Kate’s Silhouettes SVG Collection.

I had to make some quick cards for my sons’ Godmoms and this collection worked perfect.

Bling is from Creative Charms. Dot patterned paper is from Bo Bunny - Double Dot. Hope you have fun plans for Mom’s Day!

Winter Bo Bunny Layout

I created this layout for a design team assignment for my local scrap store called the Crop Shop. My assignment was to use Bo Bunny's Midnight Frost Line. Love, Love, Love Bo Bunny and this line rocks!

Bo Bunny’s Blog has sketch contests so I visited the site and decided to play along.

Took my photo into Photoshop and converted to black & white then applied a duotone effect of black and light blue.

More snow is on its way so I am sure there will be more winter scrapping in my future :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Retirement Collage

Hope you had a great holiday weekend! I sure did!

I’ve been on a collage kick lately. It seems to snowball. I took the wedding invite collage into work and someone asked if I could do 2 Retirement Collages. Why not? I cut the word “Retirement” using SCAL and the Cricut. I printed out a word for each letter of the word. Relax, Enjoy, Travel, etc.

Added the retiree’s name and employment dates along with the company logo. Added a few Creative Charms embellishments and here you have it!

Some the elements are from SVG Cuts Memory Garden Digi Cart. Love this collection - it has a lot of elements that are so versatile. Background p paper is from Bo Bunny. Frame is 10x10 from Joanns.

Goes to show you that one project leads to another!

Wedding Invite Collage

My best buddy’s nephew is getting married. The Mom of the Groom asked me to create a collage that features the invitation. She plans to give this to her future daughter-in-law at the bridal shower.

She asked me to incorporate the 3 types of flowers:
ivory roses • purple orchids • white calla lillies

Here is what I came up with:

I watched this video to create the roses - love how they turned out. Will be making more of these. I also made the orchid from paper. A few of the forum members from SVG Cuts directed me to some orchid SVGS (thanks ladies). I could not pull off the calla lilly using paper so I opted for a silk flower. I did make the rose and orchid leaves from paper. Some of them look real. The scalloped background and swirl frame are from SVG Cuts - I used Bo Bunny Jazmyne for the scallop and dark purple cardstock.

Here are a few closeups:

If you have a wedding coming up - why not make a collage featuring the invite?
It is a good excuse to play with paper!

Bo Bunny Mom's Day Layout

When Cathy from the Crop Shop gave me my design team assignment I could not wait to get my hands on the Bo Bunny Jazmyne line. I follow the Bo Bunny blog and I've been admiring the awesome projects created with Jazmyne.

Bo Bunny has a sketch challenge. It is a two pager that I adapted to a single page layout.

I used a variety of Jazmyne, and Bo Bunny Dot. I stitched the background square and around the scalloped edges. I don’t usually use the stickers for titles but loved the colors and style of this one.

This page is all about my great Mom’s Day. I got lots of homemade goodies that I will treasure forever. My oldest son had a celebration for Mom’s at his Kindergarten class. I almost went through a whole box of Kleenex! I am so lucky to be a Mom :)
