Vintage Truck Box Card & JOY Sign

Hello Everyone! Hope your holiday projects are coming along!
I recently purchased an amazing kit from SVG Cuts.

I made 7, Yes SEVEN! Vintage Truck Box Cards for my sons' teachers.
They were so easy to put together and when I showed my boys they said "WOW!"
If you aren't familiar with Box Cards - they fold up and fit perfectly in an envelope.

I look forward to making some of the other elements from the kit.

I have another project to share with you today. I have a friend, well more like a sister, (my sister-in-law's sister) who just got a Cameo. I gave her a few basic lessons and she created this fabulous JOY sign for me on reclaimed wood. I absolutely love it and had to share with you!

See you on Friday. I'll be sharing a Miss Kate project!

Thank You Cards

Hello! I haven't blogged in awhile. The last few weeks of school are always a bit hectic but also fun.

I snagged this awesome FREEBIE from SVG Cuts awhile back and created these Thank You Cards for the teachers.

I made the color scheme match the school colors.
One thing I did do to alter the initial design is select all the elements and create an offset. I cut in the lighter blue card stock.
It helps with placement of the cuts and adds another layer.

If you don't already have this freebie stop on over and pick it up!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Mini Back Packs & a Pumpkin

Are your kids back to school? Here are some cute little mini back packs I made for back to school.

I filled them with some jolly rancher candies.
They are from the SVG Cuts ~ Back to the Books SVG Kit.

They are about 4" high. I used Echo Park's Paper and Glue and did some fun print and cuts.

Have you seen the latest kit from SVG Cuts? It is called Bedtime Stories SVG Kit.

I made the pumpkin from the kit and plan on making the awesome castle.
Here is my pumpkin:
It has a little top that comes off. I used We R Memory Keepers Black Widow Papers. They are last year's papers (I'm picking up Bewitched tomorrow!)  I stitched the papers with black thread. I added some twine from Trendy Twine and flair from Paper Play Studios.

Have a great week!

2nd BTS Teacher Gift

Hi there - hope your weekend is going great so far. Thought I'd share my second Back to School Teacher Gift. Just incase you missed my earlier one go check out my SVG Cuts Design Team Project here.

On this one I used the Echo Park Paper and Glue Digital Kit for the papers. I printed them out on my Epson 1430.
Love how you can play around with the size of the patterns for example I printed the green stripe at 100% then I printed the leaf for my apple at 25% - sorta made my own 12x12 and 6x6 version of the pattern. I also printed the one milk carton on blue paper - like having flexibility with a digital kit.

Here is a look at the full kit - you can grab it here.

I used my Trendy Twine to accent - even added a row of twine right above my bottom strip of letters. As I had my twine out thought that might be a great addition inside my holder - what teacher would not love getting a spool of twine?

Here is a bird's eye view. This uses the following SVG Cuts Kits:

My not-so-crafty coworker saw my earlier post on FB and said - you are one of those Mom’s I used to hate when my son was in school :) - Oh well, hate me!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

BTS TIme!

Summer is coming to an end and it is back to school time. I always make a little something special to give to my sons’ teachers and this year I have a fun project to share. I created this holder for my latest SVG Cuts Design Team Project. Super easy to make especially if you have to make a few of them.

While you are over there make sure you pick up the latest kit ~ Back To The Books SVG Kit.

Have a crafty day!

Gift Card Bouquets

The homeroom mom of my son's class sent home a notice asking everyone to send in a gift card for a gift card bouquet. I volunteered to make the flowers and it was a really fun project!

I also made for a friend of mine who is a homeroom mom. 31 flowers in all :)

There are four types of flowers. For the first flower I used a freebie from SVG Cuts - from 1/21/10. Just weld the rose_bottom.svg to create a card to hold the gift card.

Opened view:

Second Flower is also a freebie from 4/14/10. I welded the center of the tulip and glued the edges. It is a little pocket.

The third & fourth flower uses elements from SVG Cuts 3D Mums & Fall Flowers SVG Kit.

Flowers are about 4" - big enough to fit a gift card. I finished these off with some inking, embossing and Creative Charms Embellishments. So if you are thinking about doing an end of school project for your teacher consider a Gift Card Bouquet!
