I'm back with BAGS!

Wow - it sure has been quite some time since I've blogged. I am glad to be back in the craft room ~ even if it's just a little bit of time before I have to head back to my couch :) Well I had some major surgery (a hysterectomy) and before my surgery I was feeling awful. I am on the road to recovery and going to feel so much better soon!

I made some cute gift bags using SVG Cuts Happy Holidays SVG Kit. It is FREE for a limited time so make sure you go pick it up. Leo and Mary are so darn generous!

First off I downloaded the latest Echo Park Keepin Cozy Digital Kit. Grab it here - it's 30% off!

I printed out a bunch of papers on my Epson 1430 and there are lots of pretty patterned papers in this kit. I also did some print and cuts of my favorite elements. I did these on my Cameo (SO EASY!) I was using SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot) but decided to upgrade to Silhouette Studio Designer Edition and I absolutely love it! Here's a look at my print and cuts.

I then cut my patterned paper on my Cameo. With Designer Edition you can import SVGs. Here is a look at the fabulous FREE kit from SVG Cuts:

Here are my bags!  On each and everyone of them I reduced them down a bit to fit my gifts. This one even has the back decorated :) I used some twine from the Twinery.

I made a little card with this one with my extra print and cuts.

Well it does feel great to blog again. Hope your holiday preparations are going great. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Back to School Layout

Hope your weekend is going great. I spent all day Friday and Saturday scrapping at a weekend away. It was so much fun! While I was away I scrapped the Back to School pictures. I used the We R Memory Keepers Albums Made Easy photo sleeves.

This one holds a 2 x 12" strip, 3 - 6 x 4" photos and 2 - 4 x 6" photos. I am totally loving the We R Memory Keepers 12x12 albums - I can fit alot of pages in them and you don't have to mess around with albums with screws. I am loving scrapping in this format.

(((Click on this pic to get a closer look)))

I used some Trendy Twine to accent my page and I am entering this in their challenge. Challenge requires primary colors and BTS. I hand cut around the photo of my boys and they are holding little chalk boards with their grade.

I did the print and cuts on my Cameo - they are from Echo Park’s Paper and Glue digital collection.

Hope you like my layout ....I have lots more to share with you.

Alright let’s get down to other business - I have lots to tell you about:

Perfect Gift for Labor Day

Hello and it’s the weekend! Not just any weekend - it’s a long Labor Day Weekend. Do you know someone who is going into labor soon?

Here is an 8" x 8" baby shadowbox I recently made for a coworker:

The standout in the shadowbox is the cool View Slide from
SVG Cut’s Bicycle Built For Two SVG Collection.

I took the patterned paper from Echo Park’s Bundle of Joy Collection and cut out elements to place in the slides. I also did some print and cut from the same digi kit and added some Trendy Twine to finish it off.

I just heard Labor Day is the 2nd busiest shopping day of the year behind Black Friday. If you are in the mood to shop stop by SVG Cuts ~ They are having a sale!

Enjoy your weekend!

2nd BTS Teacher Gift

Hi there - hope your weekend is going great so far. Thought I'd share my second Back to School Teacher Gift. Just incase you missed my earlier one go check out my SVG Cuts Design Team Project here.

On this one I used the Echo Park Paper and Glue Digital Kit for the papers. I printed them out on my Epson 1430.
Love how you can play around with the size of the patterns for example I printed the green stripe at 100% then I printed the leaf for my apple at 25% - sorta made my own 12x12 and 6x6 version of the pattern. I also printed the one milk carton on blue paper - like having flexibility with a digital kit.

Here is a look at the full kit - you can grab it here.

I used my Trendy Twine to accent - even added a row of twine right above my bottom strip of letters. As I had my twine out thought that might be a great addition inside my holder - what teacher would not love getting a spool of twine?

Here is a bird's eye view. This uses the following SVG Cuts Kits:

My not-so-crafty coworker saw my earlier post on FB and said - you are one of those Mom’s I used to hate when my son was in school :) - Oh well, hate me!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

NSD Challenge #3

Back again with another post for today. The second challenge over on the Echo Park blog was to make a 2 page Spread using Echo Park’s Photo Freedom.
EP’s Design Team Member, Tamara Tripodi, turned me on to these and I love them!

I used Lori Whitlock's ~ A Perfect Summer.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

NSD EP Challenge #1

Hey - Hope you had a great National Scrapbooking Day yesterday! I hit the craft room and decided to play along with some challenges over on the Echo Park Blog.

First challenge was to make a Summer Time Card.
I used Echo Park's  Paradise Beach. The sentiment is from a digi kit I picked this past week for One Buck Wednesday called Birthday Boy.

The popsicle card is from the SVG Cuts latest  ~ Fruity Fiesta SVG Kit.

I used the Trendy Twine color of the month ~ Tickled with Teal. I used actual popsicle sticks.
I have another Challenge project to share with you....coming soon!

Halloween Treats

Halloween is right around the corner. Do you have your treats done yet? Well I do - as of a today! I wanted to do something easy since I had to make 22 of them.

I used the Cracker SVG file from Gingerbread Chalet Village SVG Kit. It is a small file but I even made it a little bit smaller so I could 4 on a 12x12 mat. (Size was 5.291" wide x 5.776" high)

For this first batch I used DCWV papers from their Midnight Spell Stack (from 2011). I finished them all off with some ribbon and some new Trendy Twine I just picked up.

For this second batch I printing my own paper using the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor digi kit. I picked it up on JessicaSprague.com - for $1! I recently purchased the Epson 1430 and this my first try on printing my own paper and I love it.

For the tags I used elements from Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor Element Pack 1 digi kit plus I added some of my own text within the ecal program. I did the print and cut feature on my computer and Sizzix eclips. Have to say it worked perfect. I even cut out the hole to insert the twine so it was super easy.

Wondering what I put in my cracker? - here is what fit: a bit of candy, an eraser, a few spiders (all from Target) and I attached some eyeball rings to the outside. I picked those up at Joanns.

So there you have it! Get going on those treats for the kids.

My latest SVG Cuts Design Project was just posted!
Go check out the details on my Happy Fall DIY Bulletin Board!
