Christmas Layout

Hello - It's the last challenge of the year for Miss Kate Cuttables! Theme is anything holiday.

For my project I created a Christmas Layout.

Here is a closeup of the truck on my layout.

My Cameo did an amazing job cutting the delicate pine border at the top of my layout.
It's from the file called Christmas Borders.

Stop by the Miss Kate Cuttables Blog to check out the Design Team Projects.
Projects are also posted on the Facebook page along with all the Challenge details.

This will be my last post of the year.
Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving Cards

Hello - Hard to believe Thanksgiving is almost here! Today I am sharing on the Miss Kate Cuttables Blog! I wanted to create some Thanksgiving cards for all our family out of state and had so much fun and was on a roll that even created for the family close by.

It is super easy to create cards using the print and cut method. I selected the Thankful Phrase file for my cards.

They were really easy to put together in assembly line style.

I added some strips of paper to accent my envelopes. I was in the mood to do some calligraphy so all cards are hand addressed.

Don't forget to check out the "Free Stuff" Page on the Miss Kate Cuttables Website - lots of good stuff!

Miss Kate Layout

Hi All! Before I get into the details of my layout just a reminder to grab the Freebie of the Week on the Miss Kate Cuttables site.

As Hurricane Irma is making its way toward the Keys it makes me think of all the amazing dolphins and wonderful people who work at The Dolphin Research Center. My niece Sarah is a Trainer there. I'm hoping everyone is safe including the dolphins.

I visited the Dolphin Research Center when I went to the Keys for Sarah and Phil's (my nephew) wedding.

Here is my layout capturing all the memories:

I used the Splish Splash Title for my layout and the Wave Borders.

The cute Dolphin Silhouette was a perfect addition to my layout.
(those two lovely ladies are my great nieces)

Prayers to all who are impacted by the Hurricane!

Miss Kate Cuttables Die Cut Fun!

Hello there! I have a special post today. The entire Miss Kate design team is creating with the Paper Diecuts. Everyone's projects are amazing and there are so many diecuts to select from.

For my project I created a Halloween layout featuring my Pirate and Boxer from 2016.

Here is my layout:

This layout went together really quick! I started out with stitching around the edge of my cardstock.
I then added the inked patterned paper to the top third of my page.

I then arranged the photos and diecuts.
I used foam tape to pop off the diecuts.

I added my journaling and a few buttons.

Using elements in threes is something I like to do. Can you spot all the 3's?
- 3 photos
- Layout divided in 3's from top to bottom
-3 bats
-3 ghosts
-3 buttons
-3 journaling strips

Now you have to go check out the rest of the design team projects! They are all featured on the Miss Kate Blog and links are provided for each designers blog.

Here is a layout I created for the challenge:

I love how this Summer Memories Title turned out.
That camera is just perfect.

Here's a closeup look at my sun and clouds. They are also included in with the Summer Memories Title - I just separated those and put them in the corner of my layout.

Hope you can find the time to join in on the Challenge!

Happy 4th Layout

Hope you had a Happy 4th Of July!
I recently scrapped the 4th from 2016.
Sharing this layout for the Miss Kate Cuttables Red, White & Blue Challenge.

Here's a look at the entire layout:

The Freedom is from Independence Word Set.
I took one of the stars and enlarged.
I then used my pen tool to do the journaling for inside the star.

Hope you can join the Challenge this month over on the Miss Kate Cuttables FB Page.

My Quilt

Hello everyone! Hope your summer is going great. I'm sharing on the Miss Kate Cuttables blog today and I have a fun and different project to share with you rtoday.

For my project I used Miss Kate Cuttables files and cut fabric on my Cameo. You just have to iron on stabilizer to the back of the fabric, place it on your cutting mat and cut away! Just make sure you have a sharp blade.

Three of the blocks on my quilt feature Miss Kate files. For this first one I used the Assorted Flower Set.
It worked perfect because it was a fairly simple cut.

I hand appliquéd around all the elements.

This one is my favorite - I just love this Decorative Doily file.
I just used one of the layers for my quilt.

Here is my final quilt. I took a beginners class held by my local Quilt Group - Norwin Quilters.
We meet once a month and it's a fun group!

Thanks for stopping by today!
