Once Upon A Time Card

I am joining in a new challenge site called Scrap It With A Song.
Each week lyrics for a song are posted and the challenge
is to use some of the lyrics in your creation.

I made this card for a co-worker who is expecting.
We had a surprise shower for her today. I
used “Once Upon A Time” on the card.
On the inside I used the following wording:

The butterfly is a freebie from SVG Cuts from 3/31/10.
Embellishments are from Creative Charms - Gradient Gems In Pink.
Love the variations of pink plus the silver gems in this product.

Stop on by the Scrap It With A Song
site to see some wonderful creations.
Stop by Creative Charms Blog tomorrow to
meet the new design team members.
And stop on over to SVG Cuts to see the wonderful DigiCarts
to use with your Cricut & SCAL/MTC.

Star with Swirls

I feel like it has been forever since I've created my own SVGs.
Some of my most popular SVGs have been my Swirl SVGs.

First in the series is the Heart with Swirls
(downloaded 1,218 times from 4 shared!)

Second in the series is the Shamrock with Swirls
(downloaded almost 1,000 times).
I was approached by someone in Ireland
who wants to use this as part of their band logo.

And now the third in a series - The Star with Swirls.
I made a card for my best friend for her Birthday.

Here are the elements included on the SVG.

Hope you can use it! And if you are new to my site or missed the other “Swirl files” feel free to download the other files by clicking on the links.

SVG Cuts Bag & Box Challenge

I decided to join in on the SVG Cuts Bag & Box Challenge. My boys have their last day of Sunday school next week and I wanted to make something special for their teachers.

I used the SVG Cuts Digi Cart called Betty's Bags and Boxes Part II. The bag is called Pointy Flap Bag. The tag is from Memory Garden digi-cart.

The papers are from a K & Company stack that I picked up at Joann's. The embellishments are all from Creative Charms.

I personalized the tags by running the paper through my color printer.

Go check out the other great entries in the challenge - today is the last day so I just made it in on time!

Club Spade Heart & Diamond

EDIT TO POST:
Well I guess we learn something new everyday. Sandy pointed out that these are under the shapes menu in SCAL 2 - I had no idea there was a drop down menu with other shapes available. Guess I missed that in the update.

I am working on a Vegas themed scrapbook project. I searched and searched the internet for some gambling SVGs and came up empty. So I created some of my own.

If you like to play cards like our family there may be a scrapbook page or card in your future with these elements.

Hope you can use them, click here to DOWNLOAD.

North Pole

I know it is Spring and winter is finally over. I had one page to scrap from 2008 (to finally catch on scrapping!) and decided to finish it up. We took a ride on a real train to the “North Pole” to drop off letters to Santa.

I saw this sketch on the Just Us Girls (JUGS) Challenge Blog:

1. I rotated the sketch • 2. Put scraps of paper down for my outside border • 3. Cut & inked the background from SVGCuts Winter Bliss DigiCart using SCAL on my Cricut • 4. Cut the title - font is Improv • 5. Layered papers and elements from TPC • 6. Finished off with Stickles on the trees and Creative Charms Gem Brads & Winter Medley Snowflakes.

Thought I would never catch up but it took just one trip
to the “North Pole” to finally catch on my scrapping!

Baby Shower Invite

I created this Baby Shower invite for a friend.
It is a Diaper shower and I found a cute saying on the internet:

To add a little extra glee
and help the parents-to-be,

Please bring a little extra from the heart.

A pack of diapers (any size) & wipes,
To give them a good start!

I used SVG Cuts freebie for the diaper pins - it is from 10/17/09.

I printed the wording on my computer -
trimmed out in a circle and mounted to the polka dot paper.
Rounded the corners, added the cut and inked around the edges.

Mom’s Day Card Swap

I joined in the card swap at SVG Cuts. The theme is "Mom’s Day".

I started out with a freebie that Mary Rudakas shared - The Four Aperature Square Card.

The top right and bottom left squares have SVGs from The Swirlies Collection.

The top left is from a freebie on 10/2/09 - Ironwork Flower.

The bottom right is from a freebie on 11/2/09 - Helene’s Monogram. I added “mom” type to the inside of the circle.

I welded the shapes to the card and after it was cut added a square piece of Basic Grey paper behind each square.

Added some Creative Charms gradient gems and some card stock to the inside.

I will be using this 4 Square Aperature Card template again!

Easter Layout

Happy Easter Everyone!

I did this layout for the Crop Shop, my local scrapbook store. I was assigned the Best Creations line for this design team assignment. Love the two sided papers. I cut the title from George and used a light blue cardstock.

I have two boys so I thought the blue ribbon and blue Stickles throughout the layout would make it a bit more “boyish”.

I bought my boys some cute golf shirts for Easter and can’t wait to snap some photos and insert them into this layout.

Have a Happy Blessed Easter!
