Fancy Frame Shadowbox

Hello! I love creating shadowboxes for newlyweds. It makes a perfect wedding gift.
I have made a bunch of these and usually use a bracket style file. I was in the mood to try something new on this one.

After searching Flourishes/Frames Category on the Miss Kate website I spotted these Fancy Frames.

I used the one on the top left. I usually do not stretch files but in the case I wanted it a bit wider and when I did stretch in the Cameo Designer Edition Software it looked just fine. I did create a shadow of the pattern and also cut the bottom layer in white. Foam tape and foam core under the layers helps add dimension and give the shadow effect. I also added some pearl accents.

Hope you enjoyed my project! Stop back in a few days to check out the Miss Kate's October Challenge.

Spirits of Christmas Past

Oh my - have you seen it? The latest Kit from SVG Cuts released last night is called Spirits of Christmas Past. When I viewed the video I could not decide which 3D item to make first!

Well since I am a big frame person could not wait to try the Framed Box. I took out the butterflies that were supplied and added in the gingerbread man and a tag at the bottom. I plan to give this to friends of ours who had a baby awhile back and include a gift card in the box. Might be able to fit some cute little socks too. So it is a frame and box all in one.

I used a stamp from Punkin’ Patch Stamps - Gingerbread Kisses. It was very easy picking out my ink color - had one called "Gingerbread".

The Gingerbread SVG is a freebie from SVG Cuts.

I used fellow DT Member, Cheryl’s technique with the white dots. It needed something and it was the perfect touch. My white pens never seem to work so I used white acrylic paint and applied with the flat side of a wooden skewer.

Here’s a look at the entire kit:
