Fall Tree Card

So have you seen the latest kit from SVG Cuts? It is amazing. I love FALL and this kit is perfect for some fall crafting!

I am not a big card maker but when I saw the Colorful Trees Card from the Fall Harvest SVG Kit I had to make it. I made it for my Mother-In-Law’s Birthday today.

I printed the sentiment on my new printer - the Epson 1430. It is wireless so I can print from anywhere in the house!

I did get some inspiration for this card from the recent JUGS Challenge. The challenge this week is to use your ribbon scraps. I had a 6" fall ribbon that I used to accent the front and also add a horizontal strip to the 3rd panel.

Here is the card all folded up - fits perfect in the envelope I cut from the SVG Kit
Card was cut with my Sizzix Eclips.

Here is a look at the entire Fall Harvest SVG Kit - Don’t you love it?
Make a purchase of $9.98 or more between now and Thursday, August 16th 2012. This gift is a $6.99 Value!

Happy Sunday to you!

Banner Collage

WOW! It has been forever since I posted here on my blog! I was on vacation and unfortunately I brought home a very bad souvenir...I bug of some sort and I don't mean the kind you pick up in a gift shop. Well I guess I could of.

Anyways, I am back! And glad to be!

I do have some things I have created before and after vacation that I do need to share with you. First up is a shadowbox I made for a former coworker.

There are two things I just love about this one:

(1)
Love the little banners.
Guess what I used -- the Christmas Tree from the Christmas Cheer SVG Kit.
Just turned it upside down and there you have it ~ a banner accent.

(Here is the Christmas tree I turned upside down)

(2)
The fabulous flair buttons from Paper Play Studios.
Have to say they worked perfect on this collage.
I am thinking I need to pick up some more of those for future projects.

Here are a few more closeups & some details on the cuts:

Turtle and Zebra from Wild Child SVG Collection
Birdie & Cute frame to hold the baby's photo from Little Sweet Peas SVG Collection
(lots of great baby cuts!)

And last but not least this little whale guy is a freebie from 6/9/12
If you don't have him pick him up!

One last think before I take off and start my weekend - stop by fellow DT member Fluerette’s Blog and FB Page before 8/20 to enter her $20 Joann's Gift Card Giveaway. Her work is amazing ~ true artistic talent!

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Wine & A Winner

I have a wine box to share with you today. When I go to a wedding I always give money to the bride and groom that way they can put it towards what they want. I like to give them something else to go along with it. How perfect is this wine box holding a bottle of their favorite wine?

I used papers from DCWV for this one  - they are from the Bella Armoire stack.
I cut the box and and hand cut the little square and rectangle shapes from the stack.

The little butterflies are from Creative Charms.

On my last post I showed you my Hot Box and Tag and offered up a giveaway. Thanks everyone for your comments!
I selected a winner and lucky number 13 won!

Congrats to Renee!

I will be sending over your SVG Cuts Gift Card via email. Maybe you will want to pick up some goodies this week so you can get Camp Smore SVG Kit free with purchase. Can't wait to start cutting these ~ perfect for my two little Cub Scouts.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

It’s Hot!

I hope everyone had a happy & safe 4th of July! I don’t know about your area but it sure was hot in Pittsburgh, PA. Here is a little project I crafted over the weekend. I am always looking for gifts for my 20/30 year old nieces and nephews. Gift cards can get a bit boring. With Summer Vacation coming up thought this gift would be prefect for some margaritas!

So normally I would just do a gift tag ~ see photo on left.
But instead I made the cute box in the latest SVG Cuts Classic Gift Boxes SVG Kit (Free this week with Purchase!)
I just reduced all the elements down to fit the smaller bottle.
I also used the pen tool in Ecal to create panels for all the sides and cut Imaginisce paper on my Sizzix Eclips.

Here is a close up of my tag - both are Freebies from SVG Cuts
The Pepper and Hot are a freebie from 8/29/11
The Tag is from 12/17/11

I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who stops by my blog and Facebook Page!

How about a HOT GIVEAWAY?

Please leave me a comment and I'll pick a winner on Saturday 7/7 Noon for a $10.00 SVG Cuts Gift Card!

A cool tool!

Hey everyone. I tried a cool new tool on my latest Shadowbox Collage.
Thanks to Tamara Tripodi - Happy Life Crafty Wife who sent me a super cool

It worked perfect!

I printed out my wording and used the tool. It was really easy and I just love the look of this compared to regular print on paper. I used the square 25 tool.

I made this for a lovely lady at work who retired. She loves her family, home, gardens and will now be making a few more trips than usual to the local casino. :)
Aren't these papers pretty? They are Hello Sunshine by Bo Bunny. So bright and cheery.

Here is a look at the flowers. They are from SVG Cuts Every Day Cards.

Speaking of Tamara ~ she just opened up a new online store called Paper Play Studio. Stop by her store to check out the great flair sets. I just picked up a few sets and can't wait to give them a try. Stop by her FB Page here. She is having a great giveaway - if you decide to enter please use code: http://bit.ly/MQNPyD to sign up.

Congrats to Tamara, I'm sure her store will be a big success!

Happy Crafting!

MiniGolf

It is that time of year when golfers young and old like to hit the course and hopefully get a hole in one. I happen to have two young golfers who just love golfing on vacation. We are just learning so we usually go out early in the morning before the crowds come and that way we can take our time.

Here is my scrapbook layout capturing our minigolf fun.

Here is a little closeup of some ribbons I added to the bottom of the pages -
great way to use up your scraps!

Check out this little guy I added  - I cut him on my Sizzix Eclips - he is from SVG Cuts - Taylor’s Team SVG Collection.
If you scrap sports then this is a perfect collection - it features Basketball, Baseball, Soccer and Tennis plus a whole lot more.

On this page I shadowed and welded my title to a horizontal strip and layered on the title.
If you have minigolf to scrap go ahead and grab it here!
Or Click on the image below:

Hope you have a great weekend and don't forget to stop by the SVG Cuts site today to check out the new Kit - it is fabulous and you will not want to miss it!

Grad Party Gift

I am heading to a Grad Party today and thought hmmm...maybe I'll make a card then thought maybe I will make a 3D creation for the graduate.

So here is what I came up with ~ it’s a gift box at the bottom and added the 3D Graduation Cap which I plan to fill with goodies and I added a 3D M for not only the grad’s initial but also the school mascot (Mustangs). I used the school colors throughout the project.

So here is how it all came together:

~ STEP 1 ~

Started with the Glove Box from the Mothers Garden SVG Kit from SVG Cuts. I cut it at 100%.

I added a ribbon in the dark purple. Papers are from Basic Grey Shine On. I picked it up at Joanns - was so excited to see Joanns carrying Basic Grey 12x12 paper pads!

~ STEP 2 ~

Cut and assemble the Grad Cap from SVG Cuts’ Graduation Day SVG Kit. I also cut at 100%.

It cut perfect on my Sizzix Eclips & I watched the assembly video which also gave tips on creating the tassle from embroidery floss. It was so incredibly easy to put together. I am going to put some candies in the cap.

~ STEP 3 ~

And last but not least thought it needed a little something to balance out the design so I cut a 3D “M” from SVG Cuts’ 3D Letters Kit. This is about 3" high.

I adhered the cap box and 3D M to the glove box with hot glue.

If you are going to a grad party try one of these for the graduate!

Have you spotted the latest kit from SVG Cuts?
Oh it is just perfect for all your summer crafting projects.

Have a great weekend!
