A Spring Bookmark

Just a quick post...my son had to take something "Springy" to school for show & tell. I suggested a Spring bookmark. I told him he could give it to his teacher and he was very excited about that.

This is the first time I've layered the SVG Cuts Flowers.
They are from the 3D Mums Collection.
What fun! I'll be using these more often.

Header Design

I played with a fun digital kit to create my new Spring header.
Files are from Dream Big Design's.

Milana Baby Name Collage

I attended a Spring Fling crop this past Friday & Saturday. I got 16 pages done. I had alot of the titles and some elements pre-cut out so it went pretty fast. I also managed to squeeze in a baby name collage.

Here is the collage:

Here is a closeup:
I had access to an embossing machine so I cut these and ran them through the embosser.
I adhered one butterfly to the board and the scored the top one and applied with some dimensional tape in the middle so it “pops” off the collage.
I added some gradient gems from Creative Charms.

Thanks for stopping by & Happy Spring!

Scrappin Collage

I made this Collage for my Scrap Area. I was on a roll one night and created it in a few hours. It is designed to fit a 12 x 12 Shadowbox Frame. They sell these frames at Joann’s or Michael’s. I used the ribbon as my color scheme throughout.

Here is the collage:

Here are some detail shots:

A majority of the files are from SVG Cuts.
If you see a particular cut and want to know which collection it is from just send me an email. am220099@gmail.com

Zoo Layout

I went to an all day crop this past weekend and caught up on some 2008 pages. I got 7 pages done! This was a trip to the zoo. Noticed they are having a challenge over at Practical Scrappers to use white pen and I used it on this layout.

I hightlighted around the edges and the title arrow. Here’s a closeup.

I created the animals from clip art I downloaded from DragonArtz Designs (just added a rectangle around them) and embossed (my latest favorite technique).

Have a trip to the Zoo planned? Here is the title in SVG format for SCAL or MTC. Click here to DOWNLOAD.

EASTER Wordbook

Someone on the Craft Edge Forum was looking for an EASTER Wordbook so I created this one. This will cut on the Create/Personal (12 x 6). You can import the SVGs into SCAL or MTC.

Here is a finished image of just the E in Easter:
As you can see I used a patterned paper (by Best Creation) for the egg cut.

Here is digital image of the entire wordbook:

If you'd like the SVG click here to DOWNLOAD.
Please note: I've included a JPG of the wordbook in the ZIP folder - this is just for reference only.

Hippity Hoppity Easter Layout

I did this layout awhile back using the
Creative Charms Easter Kit.

The butterfly & egg brads are so cute. I used the floral gems to accent my corners. Love the variety of the larger flowers and the bunny with the gem is the perfect touch. The ribbon was a perfect match to my papers.

I used Bo Bunny for the green background, the stitched paper is Lollia and used some pink and purple card stock. I covered a chipboard circle with the above papers plus Easter Stripes & Chicks by Best Creation.

Farm Card

I am participating in a Card Swap on the SVG Cuts Forum. The group over there is great. They create awesome projects, are always there when you need some help and the challenges and swaps are great fun.

Our theme was to create a "Farm Card".

I used a few cuts from SVG Cuts Cuddly Animals Collection. I created the tree/grass and sky in Illustrator and took them into SCAL. I also did a die cut on the front to add some interest.

Here is a look at my final card:

St. Patty's Day Layout - Day 5

Thanks for everyone for your comments - so cool to see so many of you playing along and enjoying this format. I will plan on doing an Easter Layout.

Here is the final Day for the St. Patty's Day Layout. If you are just joining in check out the previous 4 posts for Days 1 - 4.

This is my favorite part of the layout - the title. I love playing with type and I think it is so cool that I can cut ANY font or dingbat from my computer on the Cricut using SCAL.

Step 1 - Cut the file named "Day5Title.svg". Ink the edges if you like. Layer all the elements to the title. I added some dimensional pop up tape on the "2" to pop it up.

Step 2 - Adhere title to layout and you are done! I added a few shamrock buttons that I picked up at Michael's.

Here is the final layout:

Along with the title I included a final JPG in the ZIP file just in case you plan to do this later on and need a visual reference. Click Here to DOWNLOAD.

If you decide to create the layout please send me your layout or a link - would love to see your take on the layout! Thanks again for playing along!

Step 2 - Adhere the elements to the layout.

For the SVG Click Here to DOWNLOAD.

Stop by tomorrow - 1 more day to go!

St. Patty's Day Layout - Day 3

St. Patty's Day Layout - Day 2

Here are the Day 2 steps for the St. Patrick's Day Layout. If you are just joining in, click here for Day 1.

Step 1 - Cut the file called "Day2SmallerBackground.svg" and ink the edges. I used an embossed paper for this. If you have the Create you'll cut a top and bottom and piece together. Adhere to layout.

Step 2 - Print out the Bingo Card - "LuckyBingoCard.jpg" that is in the ZIP file. I did a SVG of this for Valentine's Day and to be honest with you it's a pain to cut so I decided to do a digital version for this layout. I played around with some cool filters in Illustrator and Photoshop.

Step 3 - Adhere the Bingo Card to the Layout.

For 12 x 12 Expression Version Click Here to DOWNLOAD.

For 12 x 6 Create Version Click Here to DOWNLOAD.

Stop by tomorrow for Day 3 Steps.
