Here are a few projects I created using the Deal of Month goodies.

It is spring and we have alot of babies that have made their debut and some on the way. This first project was a mini-baby name collage. I used a 5x7 shadowbox frame from Joanns. I cut the name and scallop using SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot) on my Cricut.




Here is a full size (22 x 9) baby name collage. Frame also from Joanns - but painted white. The room features pink, sage green and some red accents with ladybugs. I used embellishments from the Deal of the Month Kit. Love the variety of elements!

Wedding Invite Collage

My best buddy’s nephew is getting married. The Mom of the Groom asked me to create a collage that features the invitation. She plans to give this to her future daughter-in-law at the bridal shower.

She asked me to incorporate the 3 types of flowers:

ivory roses • purple orchids • white calla lillies

Here is what I came up with:

I watched this video to create the roses - love how they turned out. Will be making more of these. I also made the orchid from paper. A few of the forum members from SVG Cuts directed me to some orchid SVGS (thanks ladies). I could not pull off the calla lilly using paper so I opted for a silk flower. I did make the rose and orchid leaves from paper. Some of them look real. The scalloped background and swirl frame are from SVG Cuts - I used Bo Bunny Jazmyne for the scallop and dark purple cardstock.

Bo Bunny Mom's Day Layout

When Cathy from the Crop Shop gave me my design team assignment I could not wait to get my hands on the Bo Bunny Jazmyne line. I follow the Bo Bunny blog and I've been admiring the awesome projects created with Jazmyne.

Bo Bunny has a sketch challenge. It is a two pager that I adapted to a single page layout.


I used a variety of Jazmyne, and Bo Bunny Dot. I stitched the background square and around the scalloped edges. I don’t usually use the stickers for titles but loved the colors and style of this one.





This page is all about my great Mom’s Day. I got lots of homemade goodies that I will treasure forever. My oldest son had a celebration for Mom’s at his Kindergarten class. I almost went through a whole box of Kleenex! I am so lucky to be a Mom :)

Going Digital

I decided to purchase a few digital kits over the weekend. I made my header from a kit called Blush from Dream Big Digital on a site called Scrapable. I have been admiring Cheri’s creations for quite some time and could not pass up this special! Check out all the goodies in this collection...


I had to create a quick Birthday Invite for my son’s 7th Birthday Party. I used a kit from Digilicious Designs that I downloaded from a site called PickleBerryPop. Here’s a peek at the invite and the kit I used to create it...

I put a googly eye on the fish’s eye.

I can not wait to create the scrapbook pages for the party using all these goodies! It will be my first venture in digital scrapbooking. Have you gone digital?

Thank You for a Wonderful YEAR!

I made this title as a request. It will be centered on a scrapbook page with embellishments, ribbon and photos around it. I may use this for a card for my son’s Kindergarten teacher.


I created the title and borders in Illustrator and saved as a SVG file. The SVG can be imported into SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot) or Make the Cut.

Grady Baby Name Collage

Here is another Baby Name Collage I created for a baby boy named Grady. The SVG Cuts Giraffe from the Cuddly Animals DigiCart was perfect for this collage.


They have a giraffe themed room with neutral colors. I used a bunch of Creative Charms brads and some buttons and other brads from my stash to accent across the bottom. The rectangle at the right is for the baby-to-be’s photo and it is all in a shadowbox frame.




I created this for my friend’s daughter’s teacher and she apologized that I had to do this on Mom’s Day (the shower is this week). I said thanks for the excuse to create on Mom’s Day!
