Christmas Tags

I cut the snowman along with all the other images on my Cricut using SCAL.
The snowman is actually a freebie from SVG Cuts.

These were so fun to put together - I think I may put together a bunch more as little gifts for crafty friends!
Dont' forget to check out the Creative Charms Blog for lots on holiday inspiration!

More Treats for School

I took the SVG from the Stampable and added a Shadow effect to it. (rounded 1.25) I then made a large circle using basic shapes and welded that to the scallop shape. I added a smaller circle inside the larger circle (do not weld this).
Here is what it looks like in SCAL:

I added color paper behind them.

Candy Cane Treats

Well it is not even December and I already have the treats done for my sons’ classmates. Making treats for the class are one of my favorite things to do. I let my boys pick out what they wanted to give their classmates. My 6 year old son picked out these bright colored candy canes.

I decided to make some sleds using the candy canes as the runners. Here is a look at the cuts I used. I imported them into SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot). The sled is from SVG Cuts ~ Rockin Around the Christmas Tree SVG Collection. I used the base of the sled and also created a shadow version of it in SCAL. I imported the Stampable from the Holiday Tradition stamps from Punkin’ Patch Stamps.

I cut the shadow of the sled using some silver holographic paper. It had snowflakes and worked perfect!

Next I cut the sleds, tags and stampables. I used three different colors to match the candy canes.
I also picked out three different colors of twine from the Twinery.

I stamped my stampables using my Punkin’ Patch Stamps. I always cut extra just incase I mess up. Still mastering the art of stamping.

Next attach two candy canes to the bottom of each sled. I used wide packing tape to attach.

I spent the day at a Black Friday Crop at my local scrapbooking store, The Crop Shop.
I rarely run into anyone who uses SCAL at the crops
but there were two other SCAL users at the crop, how cool is that?

3D Ornament = FUN!

I added a photo of my little great niece, Barb’s grand daughter and some ribbon and a Velvet Poppie from Creative Charms. Hmmm guess I will be making one for my other great niece too!

Must warn you...these 3D ornaments are so fun and easy...you may be making many of these too :) Going to enter the JUGS (Just Us Girls) Color Challenge for this one.

Spirits of Christmas Past

Oh my - have you seen it? The latest Kit from SVG Cuts released last night is called Spirits of Christmas Past. When I viewed the video I could not decide which 3D item to make first!
Well since I am a big frame person could not wait to try the Framed Box. I took out the butterflies that were supplied and added in the gingerbread man and a tag at the bottom. I plan to give this to friends of ours who had a baby awhile back and include a gift card in the box. Might be able to fit some cute little socks too. So it is a frame and box all in one.

I used a stamp from Punkin’ Patch Stamps - Gingerbread Kisses. It was very easy picking out my ink color - had one called "Gingerbread".

I used fellow DT Member, Cheryl’s technique with the white dots. It needed something and it was the perfect touch. My white pens never seem to work so I used white acrylic paint and applied with the flat side of a wooden skewer.

Stop back soon to see my take on the 3D star ornament!

Joy • Peace • Rejoice

I had great fun crafting last weekend with the Creative Charms November Kit of the Month. Here is a shadowbox I created. The size is 8" x 8" which is perfect for all the wall or it can be displayed in one of the holders on a coffee table or on a kitchen counter. I picked up my frame and holder at Joanns.
The kit has plenty of goodies. I used the Vintage Poppies, Christmas Vintage Metal Frames, Christmas Twinkle Stickers and the green accent from the Red Fuzzy Daisy Medley.
I used my Cricut Expression to cut the paper piecings. I used Kits from SVG Cuts. The "JOY", snowflake and background shapes are from Merry & Bright Kit. The Santa is from Santa’s Visit SVG Kit. Paper are from BasicGrey ~ Jovial and solids are AC Cardstock. I also made a cute little tag to go along with my collage.

Start that Holiday Crafting & stop by the store and pick up the kit today! Don’t forget to follow the Creative Charms blog - the new DT is rockin’ it :)

I am back!
Well we have had a very busy fall wedding season. Just calculated if you lay out the pages I've done from September to November they would span over 1/8 of a MILE! Wow! I love it ~ I get paid to scrapbook.
Here are a few of my pages from a recent wedding. Also...I can tell you the {IN} color for this fall is eggplant. I think I have bought Joann's out of “eggplant” multiple times. Sorry if you were looking for that color :)

Now that I have a bit of a break in the action - I'll be catching up on all the great files SVG Cuts has released and start my holiday crafting!
Have a great weekend!
