First Day of School Canvas

Hi Everyone - Today was our first day of school. Over the weekend I created some fun canvases for my boys to hold during their photo shoot. They are not big fans of getting photographed - you'd think they'd know better living with a Mom that's a scrapper.

I took some photos of the steps I took to create the canvases:

Step 1 : Paint canvases white

Step 2: Cut design from vinyl  weed out the background.
Add transfer tape to design (I use contact paper)

Step 3 : Apply vinyl to canvas.

Step 4 : Add another coat of white paint.

Step 5: Paint canvas - I matched their shoes/outfits for the day.

Step 6 : After it dries remove the vinyl to reveal the white behind it.

Here are my two handsome fellas posing with their signs.

MKC Sweet Treat Challenge

Hi Everyone - Miss Kate Cuttables is having a fun challenge over on the Facebook Page ----- Miss Kate Cuttables Galleria.

~It’s a Sweet Treat Challenge~

The challenge runs until 8/24. Stop on over and check it out.

For my project I created a layout featuring my boys making some sweet treats for Christmas. They had a blast baking cookies and measuring everything out. They also liked sampling the M&Ms and the finished cookies.

I used the Baking Up Memories SVGs for my layout.

The titles from Miss Kate Cuttables go together so nicely.

Just love this cute gingerbread man which is also included.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Another Wedding Shadow Box

Hello Everyone - It’s been quite some time since I blogged!

My summer has been super busy and seems like we are always on the go which has been fun. I have a few scrapbook weekends scheduled. Summer is always a blast but I do look forward to crafty time in the fall.

Here is a shadowbox I created for my Miss Kate Cuttable’s Design team project:

I love the sparkle in the invite and made the shadowbox elements match.

For my background cut I used Miss Kate Cuttable’s Decorative Doily.
I added some foam core under the bottom layer to pop it off and add some "shadows" to the box.

I also popped off the invite and added some flowers and leaves from this Flower Group.
Here’s a closeup look:

Stop by the Miss Kate Cuttable’s Blog for lots of inspiration.

There is a fun challenge that will be posted soon.

Thanks for stopping by today!
