Twins!

Hi there! I was away in Florida last week for business and glad to be back home. I had some crafty time this past weekend and got the Sizzix Eclips running.

One of my coworkers just retired about a month ago and she has brand new baby twins - a boy Logan and a girl Hayden. I made these for their room. They have a Lion King theme room. I found the Lion King paper at Michael’s.

Here is Hayden’s Collage:

Here is a closeup of Logan’s Collage:
I used the palm tree from SVG Cuts Birthday Dino SVG Collection.
I stretched the palm tree trunk in Illustrator to better fit with my design.

The palm fronds are from SVG Cuts Edisto Island Cards SVG Kit

Also used the free borders from SVG Cuts.

I used the font Be Lucian for the names. I also added the baby’s foot prints and birth details. I designed them so they look great on the wall from left to right.

Here is a peek at the room decor I matched - cute isn’t it?

Thanks for stopping by today ~ have a great week!

  1. Amy, you keep making the most adorable shadow boxes. Can you tell me how deep the shadow boxes are?

    1. Thanks so much for your kind words! The shadowboxes are about an 1" deep. I know they sell a variety of shadowboxes - I pick mine up at Joanns.

  4. That's the same theme we're doing for our soon to be born son.. already have all the lion king items from babies r us and I stumbled across your project and it's so perfect... especially since we're naming him Hayden! I thought it was going to be something I could order before I realized it was a project you made haha. Any tips for a first timer if I attempt this?

  5. Oh Wow! That is a coincidence - twins, lion king and the same name! I did a tutorial awhile back show you how to do a shadowbox. Check it out here: http://aimitup.blogspot.com/2009/12/making-baby-name-collage.html

Best wishes for a wonderful delivery - please share your collages if you make them! Not sure if you saw - I got the background paper at Joanns.
