3D Ornament = FUN!

I made this 3D Ornament for my sister-in-law. It was so darn fun to make! It is included in the latest kit from SVG Cuts ~ Spirits of Christmas Past.

I added a photo of my little great niece, Barb’s grand daughter and some ribbon and a Velvet Poppie from Creative Charms. Hmmm guess I will be making one for my other great niece too!


Must warn you...these 3D ornaments are so fun and easy...you may be making many of these too :) Going to enter the JUGS (Just Us Girls) Color Challenge for this one.

Ornaments and Wreath

It is beginning to look alot like Christmas at my house. The snow is falling outside. Thought I would share some ornaments I cut from the Comet's Candy Land Collection from SVG Cuts.


I used these to decorate a wreath to promote a friend's business - they are having a contest at our local library and it is on display there.



I also used the gingerbread star from SVG Cuts (offered for free 10/29). I got a two for one out of this one - not only used the top cut but used the scrap from top cut to make another ornament.

I used Glitter Paper for some of these. If you decide to give it a try make sure you cut 2x.

More Christmas Ornaments

Here are two ornaments I created using Creative Charms products. There is an area to insert a photo. The metallic stock is Gemstones Blue Topaz. I also used an ivory ribbon & card stock. I used a simple frame SVG from my stash to cut the ornament in SCAL.
This fun tag-type ornament also features Creative Charms products. The patterned paper is Bo Bunny. I stamped the Dear Santa and wish list using red inks. I finished it off with some ribbon on the ring. Once again this is a frame from my stash that I cut using SCAL.

Snowman Ornament

I created this Snowman Ornament as part of a challenge on the Craft Edge Message Board using supplied shapes. I have done SVGs using type and simple elements but this is the first time I actually created a graphic SVG. Thought I would kick off my blog featuring this element.


Here is a layout I did featuring the snowman:



I used Creative Charms Seasonal Medley Snowflakes as accents and added some stitching to the top and bottom borders.

I am going to add in tips on this blog and I have one to share today. I wanted to create the ornament for this posting but I was out of black paper. I took a sheet of white card stock and created a black box in Illustrator to the size that I needed and printed my own black stock. Might be kinda useful if you are trying to match a particular color and can't find the exact paper stock.
