Back To School Layout

I created this 2 page layout to remember a very important day. It was back to school time. William was attending first grade and Timmy was starting Kindergarten.

This title was a freebie from SVG Cuts (8/10/10). I added some inking, ribbons and cuttlebugged the tag.
These cute little back packs are from the Back To School Collection from SVG Cuts. I also ran these through the Cuttlebug.

This school along with the apple and worm are from the SVG Cuts Miss Karen’s Back to School Bags Collection. Added some Creative Charms embellishments on the door and bell.

I made a little pocket to hold my son’s pencil nametag. Papers are from BoBunny - one of my favorites!

SVG Cuts 12 Days Of Christmas

If you haven't already done so go check out SVG Cuts 12 Days of Christmas. I know many of you are regulars over there (you know who you are :) ) but thought I make others aware of SVG Cuts and the great products they have to offer for SCAL!

Have a great weekend~

Bus Card

My crafty son Timmy wanted to create a card for his Kindergarten Teacher. I used Miss Karen's Back to School Bags from SVGCuts.com. It was a bag but I altered the file slightly and made it into a card.

We added some buttons, googly eyes and did a personal message on the inside.

Thanks for stopping by!

First Snow Digi Layout

My boys were so excited when they woke up a few weeks ago and saw the snow. We immediately had to put on our coats and boots. They just got new gloves & hats so that made it even more exciting.

For this layout I used a kit called Celebrate The Season from Lori Barnhurst, Michelle Coleman & Lucrecer Braxton. This was offered for free on a site called Pens Scrappers. They are having a contest with first place getting a Bamboo Craft Pen & Touch Tablet. You have to create a layout using the kit and post to their site.

I loved working with the digi papers and embellishments in this kit. I also created my blog header with this kit. Check out their site if you are into digi scrapping.

By the way I found a way to work in my SVGs from my favorite...SVG Cuts. The SNOW is from the Winter Bliss collection. Just think of the possibilities of combining digi with all the SVGs I have.

Now I have to figure out where to print this out in 12x12 format. Anyone have any suggestions? Please leave me a comment if you do.

Love A Parade Layout

This is a layout from Summer. (Yes! I am almost caught up on 2010 scrapping) We attended a Memorial Day Parade and had a blast. I did this layout at a Fall Crop Weekend. It was a sketch demo. We were given the “recipe” prior to the crop. We brought the pictures already cropped and papers with embellishments.

Sketch is by the very talented Debbie Gaydos and you can check out her sketches on the Ally Scraps Blog.

If you like to use sketches like I do check out Debbie’s sketches - they are awesome.

I added some Creative Charms brads to & gradient gems to the layout. Ribbon is from Bo Bunny & papers are from my stash.

Here are a few closeups:

Gift Bags with Deal of the Month

I created these Gift Bags on the Cricut using SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot).

The bag svg file is from SVG Cuts - Betty’s Bags & Boxes II Collection. I added some inking to the edges. I added some paper and used the Creative Charms December Deal of the Month.

For this bag I used the following:
Winter Medley
Blue Gradient Gem Stickers
Blue Vintage Velvet Ric Rac
Snowflake Ribbon

The Winter Wonderland Deal had plenty of goodies to really dress up these gift bags. They were a perfect addition to the project. I used only a small portion of all the elements on these three bags.

Peace Card

I created this card for the SVG Cuts Christmas Card Challenge. Check out the great entires on their forum. I used elements from the Christmas Cookie Collection. The poinsetta, cardinal, branch and horizontal strips are from this collection. The Peace Border is a freebie from 11/21.

I used SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot) and all elements are cut on the Cricut. I added some ribbon and finished off the branch with some pearls from Creative Charms. Background paper is from My Mind’s Eye - I Believe Collection.

I am also submitting this for the Just Us Girls Challenge to use a 3D Holiday Embellishment.
