Die Cuttin' Divas Guest Designer

Hello - I've got some exciting news! I'm the guest designer for Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge Blog today. This week's challenge is a Birthday Theme.

Here is my card. I used the Happy Birthday Title file from Miss Kates. The print and cut was a perfect option for my card.

Here are a few additional cards I created. The Blow Out the Candles Title file was used for this one.

The Celebrate Title file was used for this card.

I hope you will stop over and join the challenge!

Guest Designer Die Cuttin’ Divas

I'm super excited to be guest designer at Die Cuttin’ Divas!

It’s Challenge #219 and the theme is National Aquarium Month.

I needed a summer theme banner for my mantle so I decided to make a mini banner with 3 panels.

First I started with some canvas I picked up at Joanns and trimmed the banner shapes with a rotary cutter.

I then ironed on the fusible web to the back of the fabric. I placed the fabric on my cutting mat and cut with my Cameo.

I cut the Miss Kate Cuttable’s Seahorse and Fish SVG File.
This simplistic file is perfect for cutting fabric. I did not cut the eyes from the file. I hot glued buttons instead.

Here is a closeup view of the banners:

I cut the blue fabric 1" wider than the canvas and double folded it over to finish off the edges.
I stitched down the sides and stitched ribbon across the top. I hot glued buttons on the ribbon to finish it off.
Here is a look at the back of the banners:

I hope you enjoyed my project. I would like to thank Die Cuttin’ Diva’s for having me as Guest Designer.

Trendy Twine

Hi Everyone - Today is my last post as guest designer over at Trendy Twine. I really enjoyed creating projects using their wonderful twine. Those of you who are regulars here (thanks by the way for following my crafty blog) know I create alot of shadow boxes. It all started about 3 years ago when I made one for my coworker. It has spread from there and I've probably made close to a 100 shadow boxes for family and friends. They really do make a perfect gift for a shower.

Here is one I created using Trendy Twine!

Pick up a frame at Joanns or Michaels. (I get the white ones from Joanns)
I start out by taking a peek at the baby registry online - that will give you a good idea of what the color scheme and theme is. Then start cutting your elements.

Once you have everything cut add foam tape or pieces of foam core under the elements to give it dimension. Afterall it is a shadowbox so make some shadows. I added Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine to my project which was the perfect accent.

You can either hang this in the baby's room or purchase a holder at Joanns to display in the room.

I really enjoyed my time as the May guest designer ~ have a great Friday and long holiday weekend!

Trendy Twine

Hi There! I have a project to share using the wonderful Trendy Twine. I am the Guest Designer for the month of May. This month's challenge is posted on their  blog {CLICK HERE}.

It's a fun one - use the color kraft and Trendy Twine. Here is my project ~ A Happy Birthday Piece of Cake. I added the twine on my candle and added a bit to the button to accent.

Here's a look at the little box opened up - perfect for treats or even some crafty gifts, including Trendy Twine of course! PP is from Sweet Girl by Lori Whitlock, chipboard is from Heidi Swapp.

I used May’s Special ~ Tickled with Teal.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a fabulous weekend!

Fa-Boo-Lous Guest Designer

Woo hoo! I am so excited to be a guest designer for the Fa-Boo-Lous Halloween Inspiration Week! We love Halloween in our house and look forward  to the entire month of October to celebrate.
I created a fun countdown which starts today at 4 weeks away.

Each treat holder counts down the weeks and also did a holder for the day before and Halloween day.
I used the tombstone box from SVG Cuts latest kit ~ Gimme Candy Boxes SVG Kit.
smalltombstone.svg is cut to 9.327" wide x 4.952" high
insertfortombstone.svg is cut to 9.336" wide x 3.471" high

I also used the Spooky Cuties SVG Collection to accent the treat holders.
All cut on my Sizzix eclips.

I removed the glass from a 12x12 Shadow box frame and once the treat holders were assembled I hot glued them in.
I designed the countdown dates in Adobe Illustrator and used the
Epiphany Crafts Tool to create them.

Here’s a look at each countdown holder and what I placed inside:

Cricutholics Guest Designer

Awhile back Liz over at Cricutholics asked me be a guest designer over on their site. I shared my take out boxes back in late January and now I am back with some Wedding Invitation Collages.

These are so fun to make and everyone that's received one of these just love them. You can customize your wedding invite collages to match the theme and style of the wedding.

This first one has a rustic feel. I grabbed some twigs off my tree outside (thanks Kristin for the idea - she used them on a recent DT Project) and the leaves are from Joanns. The background scallop shape is from SVG Cuts and I cut it on my Cricut. I use foam core to layer the elements - it is inexpensive and adds alot of dimension.

a closeup:

On this one I used the colors of the invite and wedding and worked in the colors of the bouquet. The corners are accented with Creative Charms. Papers are from DCWV. I picked up the flowers are Joanns - K&Company - they matched perfectly!

Thanks for taking a look and stop over to the Cricutholics Site!
Stop back on Wednesday ~ have a Creative Charms Project to share.
